In Jejak Waktu “Reban…”, Awang Damit Ahmad assembles a dense interplay of fragmented forms, layered textures and contrasting colour. Broad passages of green, blue, black and white are interrupted by smaller accents of red, creating a composition that feels both structured and unsettled. The overlapping shapes suggest a shifting visual landscape, where forms emerge, recede and collide across the surface.
The expansive horizontal format heightens this sense of movement, allowing the eye to travel through a succession of compressed and open spaces. Heavy areas of pigment are balanced against lighter passages, giving the work a strong internal rhythm. Through this tension between order and disruption, Awang Damit creates a composition that is visually complex yet carefully controlled.
