Born in Selangor in 1968, Lim Ah Cheng graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art in 1989. He is best known for his horse paintings, where expressive brushwork and fluid lines capture both motion and spirit. Over the years, his works have been widely exhibited in Malaysia and abroad, earning him recognition for his ability to transform traditional subjects into contemporary statements of vitality and grace. Through careful structuring of form and space, the artist creates a sense of quiet movement in this composition. Part of the Metamorphosis series, this 2010 work exemplifies Lim Ah Cheng’s ability to transform everyday imagery into contemplative visual narratives.
