Internationally renown for his timeless works influenced by modern western movements and Chinese ink painting, Walasse Ting is a name that will stand against the test of time. This work delves deep into the romantism movement with the elegant strokes and pop of bright colours in the right place. The subject seems to express a desire, longing and nostalgia. One could discern that Ting was a poet who expresses his poetry through visual mastery in appreciation for the female body, her complexities and the aura that surrounds her.
