Ismail Mat Hussin, whose works are known for the combination of warm tones and earthy hues with the use of limited palette, yet being able to express the narrative of the life in the rural living gloriously, produces a special batik painting with an animal as its subject matter. In this piece, a tiger is seen perched in all its glory on what is presumably a cliff, overlooking the scenery. This special piece, rendered in the batik medium, is bathed in muted tones, except for the orange hue used to paint the tiger.
