Dou Dou Bake

It was mere word of mouth that catapulted this minimalistic, industrial-looking cafe to fame. Founded by Joey Mah, the man behind Three Little Birds Coffee and Keith Koay, Artisan Roastery and three-time Malaysian Barista Champion Keith Koay, the duo collaborated and opened the design-forward bakery, Dou Dou Bake.

Its interior is raw and minimal, where walls and columns are left exposed, cushion seats are placed across the bakery and floor-to-ceiling windows grant natural sunlight to the space. Outside, its wild desert-like foliage and wooden-plank pathway createsan Instagram-worthy setting. As you step in, prepare to be greeted by the alluring aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries.

Onto their offerings, the Dou Dou Breakfast is fullfilling, featuring luscious scrambled egg on homemade sourdough bread, avocado, sausage and a side of salad. We find this best complemented with an Oat Milk Latte. From their array of freshly-baked pastries, the Sourdough Croissant and Pan Au Chocolate are our favourites but these get snatched up quick, so be sure to get here early.
