Born in 1968 in Kedah, Masnoor Ramli graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from MARA University of Technology (UiTM). With a career spanning for more than two decades, Masnoor has a wide array of artistic practise from paintings, sculptures, photography, art and even video installations, making him an extraordinary conceptual artist. Masnoor stands as one of the key members of the MATAHATI collective upon his graduation in 1991.

He has participated in various art shows regionally and internationally as well, having been to countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Cuba and Europe. Masnoor’s noteworthy ongoing series ‘Moulding The History’ is what tracked his artistic beginnings. Since then, his artworks have consistently highlighted and addressed Malaysia’s socio political and economic landscape duly attesting to his role as a social and heritage commentator for Malaysia.
