The Aliya and Farouk Khan collection represents the largest collection of contemporary Malyasian art in the country, private or public. The collection consists of more than 800 works of art representing more than 50 artists from the 80’s until today. The collection includes later developments of young contemporaries who are to be the next wave of important artists who will dominate the art scene for the next 10-20 years, including Multhalib Musa, Umibaizurah Mahir, Choy Chun Wei, Chin Kong Yee, and Yau Bee Ling. The collection is based on the strong belief that the works of contemporary Malaysian artists are of international standard.

I wish we had a Aliya & Farouk Khan here in South Africa

we were a group of artists from Amman Jordan who showed our works at the shahalam gallery in Malaysia and were Dissapointed that not enough art lovers nor collectors showed up…it would be nice to send these links to this amazing couple who have so much vision in art investment
