Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. needs no introduction to food lovers. Known for its delectable shrimp among its dishes, warm and friendly service as well as its cosy ambience, it is a favourite hangout for many KL-lites.

Inspired by the famous Tom Hanks movie, Forrest Gump, this eatery not only has one of the best shrimps but its desserts are sensational as well. Bubba Gump in Malaysia carries five delicious desserts on its menu. One of its famous ones would be “That Chocolate Thing” (RM16.90), which is a special jar of warm flourless chocolate cake, topped with vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream and drizzled with raspberry sauce. The cold ice-cream compliments the warm, moist cake well.

The raspberry might be a tad too sweet for some but when combined with the cake and ice-cream, it is phenomenal.
Another favourite is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae (RM14.90). This is a delight for all those with a sweet tooth. It consists of a warm, fresh baked chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice-cream, caramel, chocolate, peanuts and whipped cream. The cookie is of the right texture where it breaks easily when dug into. A bite of the cookie smothered with all these sugary delicacies will get your taste buds singing for joy. Bread pudding lovers will adore the Mama’s Cinnamon Bread Pudding (RM12.90).

It is mild nin sweetness in comparison to the other two. The pudding is topped with a special vanilla sauce. It has a ‘cinnamony’ taste to it. The pudding is neither too hard nor soft and tastes wonderful. All the way from Alabama is Bubba Gump’s very own Alabama Mud Pie (RM22.90). Cool layers of chocolate and vanilla ice-cream with chunks of Snickers are separated with a ribbonof caramel. It is topped with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and chunky peanuts. This dish is sweet and delicious and can be very filling.

For all you strawberry lovers, here is Mama’s Best Strawberry Shortcake (RM16.90). It is a special homemade biscuit topped with lots of strawberries, ice-cream and whipped cream. Its presentation which is red and bright will cheer anyone’s mood upon one look at it. The combination of the fruit and ice-cream makes the cake taste cool, sweet and sugary, enough to give you a sugar rush.

All these delicious desserts come in big portions and can be shared by three or four people. For those who want to have a sweet sensation with your loved ones and friends or to just have a massive sugar rush, Bubba Gump has given you another excuse to visit its outlets and leave with a blissful smile and a full belly!!!!
