Malaysia’s First Haute Couture Fashion Showcase

For the first time in Malaysia, Valentino presented its Fall / Winter 2009 Haute Couture Collection on Dec 12, 2009 at Starhill Gallery, adding elegance and glamour to A Journey Through Time III.

Over a hundred celebrities and socialites attended the event, including YTL’s Tan Sri Francis Yeoh, president and CEO of Valentino SPA Stefano Sassi and Hong Kong actress Lynn Xiong Dai Lin.

The haute couture by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli honours an innovative and unconventional femininity, thus defining the new vision of a woman.

The conception of elegance which becomes a way of being, synthesising in each and every dress a fragile but dangerous nature – a cult of uniqueness and distinction. Featuring glossed layers, veils, light and dark shades, interweaves, embossed materials, Macramé and Chantilly laces, the collection is inspired by a renowned all black Ascot edition, spectacularly in noir after Edward VII passed away in 1910.
